News Aggregation Platform ‘Dailyhunt’ Raises $35.6 Million From Lupa India
Dailyhunt has raised $35.6 million as part of its Series G funding round from Lupa India.
As per regulatory filings, this funding round proceeded with the issuance of shares at a price of Rs 12,995.84 per share.
Dailyhunt, in a span of two weeks, has raised a total of around Rs 220 crore as part of its Series G funding round with other investors being ByteDance, Falcon Edge, Goldman Sachs, Sofina Group and Advent Management.
Dailyhunt is a local language news aggregation platform that gets news and media content from over 1300 publication partners.
The platform provides content in languages like Marathi, Hindi, English, Gujrati, etc.
Apart from India, DailyHunt also operates in some Asian countries – Sri Lanka , Bangladesh, Nepal and some African countries.
Daimlyhunt is dominating its segment as its mobile app has 100 Million+ downloads on the Google Play Store with 263 Million+ MAU (monthly active users) across all platforms.
