Stockal, a global investment platform, has raised $9 million as part of its Series A round of funding. The investors that are part of this funding include Hashed (a global web3 focused venture fund) and PEAK6 (an investment firm in the US). 

The round also saw participation from ARC Group Ventures, Czar Capital, Trica, 7Square, AZ Ventures, Riso Capital and some of Stockal’s existing investors.

Stockal plans to use the funds to drive its international expansion plans. As per the startup, with the fresh inflow of funds, Stockal will now be entering the South East Asian markets.

As per the co-founders, the last couple of years has highlighted a tremendous appetite among retail investors to make their money borderless, and they will make the leap provided the required ecosystem is available. Vinay and Sitashwa added that Stockal is working closely with banks and regulators in all their markets to make it an extremely seamless platform.
