Amazon To Take On Zomato And Swiggy With Its Food Delivery Platform
Amazon is conducting a pilot in Bengaluru for its food delivery platform, and the pilot is expected to be launched in a couple of weeks.
Amazon was planning to launch this platform around Diwali (last year), which later postponed to December. But things didn’t go as planned, and now the pilot is being launched in the coming weeks.
As per reports, Amazon’s food delivery platform is open only to its employees. And the pilots are advancing across 5 pin codes in the city. These include HSR, Bellandur, Haralur, Marathahalli, and Whitefield.
Presently, the company has limited partners, but it will expand once Amazon’s food delivery platform gets launched officially. Two restaurant owners, speaking to ET said that several restaurants have signed contracts with Prione Business Services to list on Amazon with 10-15% commissions.
