Paytm Founder Invests In Bengaluru Based Startup ‘Refrens’
Refrens has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from a group of angel investors including Anupam Mittal (Founder Shaadi.com) and Vijay Shekhar Sharma (Founder Paytm).
Founded by Mohit Jain and Naman Sarawagi, Refrens is a Bengaluru-based startup and offers free invoicing, payments, and expense management system.
The funding round also saw participation from The Collective fund, Firstcheque, Amit Lakhotia of Park+, Amiya Pathak of Ezcred, Gireesh Subramaniam of Freshworks, and few others.
Refrens is designed for B2B service providers including logo and graphic designers, CA, CS, Lawyers, software developers, etc.
The startup plans to use the funds for its platform’s reach expansion and addition of freelancer friendly financial services.
Talking about the platform, Naman Sarawagi (Founder Refrens) said,
“Freelancers and soloists are the future of work. We are building an important platform to enable them to get payments faster and get more work. It’s really encouraging to have some of the most prominent entrepreneurs in the Indian startup ecosystem to put their trust on us for this endeavour.”
Refrens currently is growing at 10% every week and has 12,000 businesses and freelancers using the platform.
