Maruti Suzuki shows concern about the adoption of e-vehicles in India
With the rise in the use of e-vehicles globally, Maruti Suzuki is once again concerned about the existing market for electric vehicles (EVs) in India.
The concern is mainly due to the high prices of vehicles and poor charging infrastructure.
Managing director of Maruti, Kenichi Ayukawa in the ongoing Auto Expo 2020 said,
“We have to watch the customers and when they want that kind of a product, then we have to offer that kind of an offering. We cannot find that kind of a requirement at this moment. But we have to prepare ourselves.”
And according to Maruti Suzuki Chairman, the electric vehicle market will only grow if the vehicles are made affordable.
