Funding News: Mobile Gaming Startup ‘EWar’ Raises $200K In Equity Funding
Jindal Steels and Jeet Banerjee (founder of Gameplan) have invested $200K as equity funding in EWar Games, an e-sports platform.
EWar Games is a Bengaluru-based e-sports and real-time gaming startup, founded by Rahul Singh and Parth Chadha in January 2020.
As per the company, it will use the funding amount for improving the quality of their gaming platform, and for providing better user experience. The company also plans to spend some funds on marketing and brand promotion.
Talking about the growth the company has witnessed since its inception, Parth Chadha (EWar Games Founder and CEO) said,
“Within a very short span of time, our e-sports application has become overwhelmingly popular and is witnessing 3x month-on-month growth.”
Parth also said,”EWar aims to cater to a user base of over one million in the next two months and wants to position itself as the most customer-centric gaming platform and a one-stop solution for all gaming and e-sports enthusiasts in India.”
EWar claims to have a user base of 500K gamers, with 45K+ games being played on the platform every month.
As per a report from NASSCOM, the Indian mobile gaming market is estimated to reach $1.1 billion by the end of 2020.
