Ola Offers 500 Cabs To Karnataka Government For COVID-19 Work
To help the government, viewing the COVID-19 work, CEO and Co-founder of Ola, Bhavish Aggarwal, has extended a helping hand to the Karnataka Government.
As per a report from ET, Bhavish Aggarwal has offered 500 Ola cabs to the Karnataka Government, which they can use for transportation of medicines, healthcare staffers, and for any emergency.
Bhavish Aggarwal called Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwathnarayan and offered that the government can use Ola Cabs in the places where Ola is currently available, and the government is free to decide how many cabs it requires to keep the work continuous.
These areas include Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Hubli-Dharwad and Belagavi.
Recently, Ola also announced the launch of an initiative, ‘Drive the Driver Fund’.
This initiative aims to support auto-rickshaw, taxi, and cab drivers.
