234 More Agri Startups To Get Government Funding Of Rs 24.85 Cr In FY21
To promote entrepreneurship and innovation in the agriculture sector, the Agriculture Ministry, on Thursday, said it will fund 234 more startups in the agriculture and allied sectors.
Under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY), to nurture the Agri startups ecosystem, the government is providing incubation and financial support.
For this, a total sum of Rs 24.85 crore will be allotted to 234 more agriculture startups under a central scheme in the current fiscal.
This funding is in addition to recently announced financial and incubation support of Rs 11.85 crore to 112 agritech startups.
The ministry stated,
“In addition to 112 startups already funded for a sum of Rs 11.85 crore, 234 startups in the agriculture and allied sectors will be funded for a sum of Rs 24.85 crore.”
