21K School, India’s first online-only school, has recently raised $5 million in pre-Series A funding round from Ronnie Screwvala, Co-Founder and Chairman, upGrad. 

The company aims to utilise the raised funds to augment its outreach to students in India and abroad. Additionally, the online school aims to strengthen its learning platform for data-driven instruction across all curriculums.

Founded by Santosh Kumar, Dinesh Kumar, Yeshwanth Raj Parasmal, and Joshi Kumar, 21K School is India’s first online school that provides a complete online school experience and personalized learning – anytime, anywhere. 

Speaking on the development, Co-founder Yeshwanth Raj Parasmal said,

The edtech startup aims to create a 100% online school from Nursery to Grade 12, offering children aged 3 to 18 years a choice of three curriculums – Indian, American and British.

21K School has over 2,750 students studying from over 400 cities across India and 23 other countries. It is targeting to scale 10X to over 25,000 to 30,000 admissions in the next academic year.
