Wint Wealth, a Bengaluru-based debt investment aggregator platform, has raised around $15 million in a fresh funding round from new and existing investors. 

Led by Eight Roads Ventures, the funding round also saw participation from seven other investors, including Billion Brains, 3one4 Capital, Unitary Fund, Blume Ventures, AngelList, JJ Beshara Angel and Better Advisor.

First reported by Entrackr, the startup plans to use the freshly raised funds for capital expenditure, marketing and general corporate purposes.

Founded by Ajinkya Kulkarni, Shashank Chimaladari, Abhik Patel, and Anshul Gupta, Wint Wealth is democratizing debt investments in India by helping retail investors buy debt instruments like bonds.

The Bengaluru-based startup has raised this Series A round just four months after raising the seed round. As per estimates, the startup has been valued at around Rs 540 crore or $70 million post allotment of the Series A round.

Eight Roads Ventures invested Rs 70 crore (over $9 million) in this funding round. The firm acquired a 13% stake in Wint Wealth, followed by 3one4 Capital and Unitary Fund, which control 7.01% and 6.50% holdings, respectively.

In January 2022, the debt investment aggregator platform raised an undisclosed amount from a cohort of celebrity finfluencers, including Tanmay Bhatt, Pranjal Kamra, Ankur Warikoo, and CA Rachna Ranade.

The round was made available exclusively to retail investors, subject matter experts and finfluencers, making 15 celebrity influencers equity shareholders of the platform. 

For the fiscal year ending March 2021, Wint Wealth recorded Rs 70 lakhs topline. During this period, the debt investment aggregator platform posted a loss of Rs 30 lakh. The Bengaluru-based startup competes with alternative investment platforms, including LegalPay, Grip Invest, Pyse and IndiaBonds.
