Digital learning platform Toprankers has announced the acquisition of The Lex Guru, an Indore-based legal test prep startup. The digital learning platform has rebranded the legal test prep startup to Judiciary Gold.

As per Toprankers, the acquisition of Judiciary Gold (erstwhile The Lex Guru) will allow it to expand its reach in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and other neighbouring regions.

Toprankers Acquires The Lex Guru

Founded by Harsh Gagrani, Karan Mehta and Gaurav Goel in 2014, Toprankers is a digital counselling & exam preparation platform for careers beyond engineering & medicine.

Claiming to have a community of more than 5 Lakh students, the digital learning platform offers exam prep across the judiciary, law, management, design and architecture exams at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It also claims that around 25,000 learners have trained through its online and offline courses.

Speaking on the acquisition, Gaurav Goel, Co-Founder and CEO of Toprankers, said,

The Lex Guru is Toprankers’ second law-related IP, as the digital learning platform also operates LegalEdge for the preparation of exams such as the Common Universities Entrance Test-Law (CUET-Law), Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), and other law exams at UG and PG levels.

The acquisition of The Lex Guru is Toprankers’ second acquisition this year. In April, Toprankers acquired the career guidance platform ProBano in a cash-and-stock deal, marking its foray into the career discovery and guidance segment.
