Test Automation Platform Testsigma Raises $4.6 Million In Fresh Funding
Testsigma, an open-source test automation platform, has raised $4.6 million in funding led by Accel and Strive, with participation from BoldCap.
Shanmugam Krishnasamy (Co-founder and CTO of Freshworks), Kiran Darisi (Co-founder and VP of engineering at Freshworks), Parsuram Vijayasankar ( Co-founder and principal engineer at Freshworks), Vetri Vellore (CEO of Ally.io), Nitesh Banta (CEO at B12), Ioann Fainsilber (Cofounder at Pintek) and others, also participated in the funding round.
The startup will use the fresh capital to strengthen its engineering and product teams. Additionally, the open-source test automation platform will also build alongside a global community of testers, test automation engineers, and developers.

Founded by Rukmangada Kandyala, Vikram Chaitanya, Pratheep Velicherla, and Rajesh Reddy in 2019, Testsigma is an open-source test automation platform for end-to-end testing. The platform enables teams to collaboratively plan, develop, execute, analyze, debug, and report on automated testing for websites, native Android and iOS apps, and APIs.
Speaking about the development, Rukmangada Kandyala, Founder and CEO of Testsigma, said,
“What we’re trying to do at Testsigma is not just simplify test automation to speed up the testing, but also make it a sustainable, scalable process in which the tools don’t require ongoing maintenance, freeing up the teams to focus on value delivery instead of building and maintaining scripts and frameworks.”
The test automation platform aims to make test automation simple and scalable. As per the company, its open-source test automation platform is designed to replace the entire broken test stack and enable modern software development teams to test and release products quickly, continuously, and at scale.
