Pet Grooming Startup Zoivane Pets Raises Rs 5 Cr In Funding

Zoivane Pets, a Surat-based pet grooming platform, has raised Rs 5 crore (around $6,05,063) from GVFL Ltd (formerly known as Gujarat Venture Finance Ltd) in a seed funding round. 

As per the startup, the raised funds will be used for product development and strengthening its workforce and marketing.

Founded in 2019 by Nishma Singhal and Kshitij Singhal, Zoivane Pets provides products that have natural ingredients, paraben-free and are tested by vets. Its collection features shampoos for dandruff, hair fall, itching, and, dryness, among other things. 

The Surat-based startup sells its product both online and offline and claims to have sold over 50,000 units of its products to date.

Speaking about the development, Nishma Singhal, Co-founder of Zoivane Pets, said, 

“In the recent past, Zoivane Pets has dominated the Indian pet care industry…the faith that pet parents have demonstrated in Zoivane Pets primarily increased our confidence in raising funds and expanding our portfolio.”

Zoivane Pets claims to be the first brand to launch patent pet training products, which includes patent formulations such as potty training spray, stay away spray, pets stain and odor remover, and others.

It sells through its website as well as on marketplaces like Flipkart, Amazon, Nykaa, Myntra, Meesho, and offline too. Zoivane Pets has a presence in nearly 500 retail stores across more than 300 cities. 

Commenting on the development, Mihir Joshi, President of GVFL, said, 

“This was in line with its strategy of investing in startups that continuously innovate through research and development…Zoivane Pets is an emerging brand that has launched a number of innovative products in an affordable range for pet care, and we envision to penetrate the market together.”

Including this funding round, Zoivane claims to have secured Rs 5.54 crore in total so far. 

Last month, petcare startup Supertails raised $10 million in a Series A round to double down on building innovative tech, which includes unveiling its own app.

Also, another petcare startup, Vetic, raised $3.7 million in a seed funding round led by Lachy Groom for bolstering technology, establishing state-of-the-art medical infrastructure, and geographical expansion of Vetic’s clinic network across Delhi NCR and Bangalore regions.
