Nourish You Raises $2 Mn From Zerodha’s Nikhil Kamath, Others
Nutrivative Foods Pvt Ltd, which runs superfood brand Nourish You, has raised $2 Mn (around Rs 16.37 crore) in a seed funding round from multiple investors.
Several investors, including Y Janardhana Rao (Triumph Group), Rohit Chennamaneni (Darwinbox), Nikhil Kamath (Zerodha) and Abhinay Bollineni (KIMS Hospitals), among others, also participated in the funding round.
As per the startup, the raised funds will be used for research and development, product building, hiring and expansion.

Founded by Sowmya Reddy, Krishna Reddy and Rakesh Kilaru in 2015, Nourish You is a Hyderabad-based D2C brand that offers high-quality superfoods like quinoa, chia, millets, edible seeds, and breakfast cereals across online marketplaces and ecommerce platforms.
The Hyderabad-based D2C brand also exports its products to countries including Nepal, Singapore, Kenya, Dubai, Mongolia, and Maldives.
Speaking about the development, Rakesh Kilaru, Co-founder of Nourish You, said,
“The fundraise will help us expand our team and distribution channels and increase our investment in research and development. It will accelerate growth and cement our position as a brand for Superfoods in India.”
As per their website, the D2C brand manages around 5000 acres of quinoa and chia farms across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.
For the past few years, the direct-to-consumer (D2C) approach has become the first choice of businesses. As per a report by Shiprocket, D2C brands in India are estimated to become a $60 billion industry by FY27, backed by rising internet users in India, increasing smartphone penetration and growing consumer interest.
A few days back, D’chica, a Delhi-NCR based D2C fashion brand, raised Rs 1.62 crore from revenue-based financier Velocity for hiring and marketing. Last month, Zlade, a Pune-based direct-to-consumer personal care brand and Wakefit Innovations raised funds. Last year, several D2C startups raised funds, including Rapidbox, Good Health Company, Ustraa and XYXX Apparels.
