Uber India has introduced an out-of-home (OOH) advertising concept. This concept has enabled drivers to carry advertisements of other brands on their cars to increase income opportunities.
Under this tie-up, CASHurDrive will place advertisements on the outside part of the car. Advertisements will be in the form of body wraps or they will place advertisements inside them.
This is a good thing for drivers, as Uber has reduced incentives for driver-partners in the past few months and now with this, they can earn more money.
As for now, ads are being rolled out in 30 cities across India. The company hasn’t given any details about the rates of pay-out per advertisement but said it will hike revenue for drivers.
Uber India’s head (Central operations) Pavan Vaish said drivers play an important role in Uber’s success. So, the company will add new ways to improve revenues for them in the future.
“The partnership with CASHurDrive will help drivers with an additional source of revenue. We hope our driver-partners will utilize this opportunity and benefit from it.”
