Online music learning and community platform Artium Academy has raised $3 million from Chiratae Ventures and others.

The funding round also saw participation from other early-stage investors like Anicut Capital, Jet Synthesis and Whiteboard Capital. Several high-profile entrepreneurs, including Priyamvada Balaji (Executive Director of Lucas Indian Service), Madhusudhan R (Co-founder of M2P Finance), Varun Alagh (Co-founder of Mamaearth), and Piyush Shah (Co-Founder, InMobi Group), also participated in this funding.

As per the startup, the raised funds will help accelerate its plans to develop new offerings and expand into new markets, especially to the diaspora population outside of India. It will also allow the startup to invest in product and content-led organic channels for learner acquisition.

Co-founded by Ashish Joshi, Vivek Raicha, and Nithya Sudhir, Artium Academy is an online music education platform making learning fun and accessible to people of all ages.

Its AI-enabled practice studio supplements in-person learning and tracks improvement followed by regular online performances within the Artium community of learners, teachers and maestros.

Speaking about the development, Ashish Joshi, founder and CEO of Artium Academy, said,

“Our vision is to make music learning more relevant, participative, and engaging where a user can take the journey of a learner to a performer to a potential influencer with our music tech platform. We are building AI based assessment and prescription tools to aide efficient learning and performing, thereby offering qualitative pedagogy to the learners globally.”

Artium Academy offers music education using modern pedagogy combined with technology to deliver elevated learning and performing experience to learners.

The courses offered by the startup are designed and certified by Sonu Nigam, KS Chithra, Shubha Mudgal, Aruna Sairam, Louis Banks, Gino Banks, Raju Singh and Aneesh Pradhan who’ve joined Artium as faculty heads for various courses.

Ananth Vaidyanathan, India’s leading voice expert, has joined as the Chief of Pedagogy of the Academy.

Recently, the platform tied up with Warner Music India and Global Music Junction (GMJ), where it will create original music content with its maestros, teachers, and learners under its brand Artium Originals.
