HealthTech Startup Fitterfly Raises $3.1 Million In A Pre-Series A Funding Round

Fitterfly, a Healthtech startup, has raised $3.1 million in a pre-series A round led by Fireside Ventures.

The funding round saw participation from 9Unicorns, Venture Catalysts and a clutch of angel investors from India, the US, and Singapore.

This is Fireside’s first investment in the healthtech space. The venture capital firm is known for investing in brands such as boAt, Slurrp Farm, Mamaearth, Bombay Shaving Company, among others.

Managing partner at Fireside Ventures Kanwaljit Singh will join the board of Fitterfly.

Co-founded by Arbinder Singal, Shailesh Gupta and Jayesh Sawant, Fitterfly is a health tech startup specialising in Digital Therapeutics (DTx).

The startup is run by a team of Doctors, Engineers and Senior Nutritionists. Their DTx programs combine human and technological interventions to cater to every patient’s specific needs to improve outcomes.

As per co-founder and CEO of Fitterfly, Dr. Arbinder Singal, the fresh funds will be used to expand presence in smaller cities.

Dr. Arbinder Singal said,

“Covid-19 has pushed remote monitoring and digital therapeutics to the forefront of medicine. We are solving difficult problems, be it diabetes, obesity, women’s health, or child health, through our innovative Digital Therapeutics solutions, and these problems affect almost 30-40% of the population in India.”

Fitterfly’s current product suite includes scientific and hyper-personalised DTx programs for diabetes, PCOS, obesity, pregnancy and child wellness. The healthtech startup operates out of Navi Mumbai, Surat and Gurgaon offices, with the majority of employees currently working out of their homes across India.
