Healthtech Startup Dozee Raises Around $10 Million In Funding
Dozee, a Bengaluru-based healthtech startup, has raised Rs 71.3 crore or close to $10 million in a fresh round led by Doordash’s Gokul Rajaram.
First reported by Entrackr, the funding round also saw participation from Prime Venture, YourNest, 3one4 Capital, and several other investors. In this round, Gokul Rajaram invested Rs 44.2 crore or $6 million, followed by existing investor Prime Venture which invested in around 12.4 crores. YourNest and 3one4 Capital have invested Rs 7.7 crore and Rs 6.4 crore, respectively.
Dozee | Contactless Remote Patient Monitoring
Founded in 2015 by Mudit Dandwate and Gaurav Parchani, Dozee is a Bengaluru-based healthtech startup that offers contactless remote patient monitoring and an AI-powered early warning alert system.
Dozee is India’s only contactless health monitor that silently tracks your heart, respiration, sleep patterns, stress levels, cardiac contractions, apnea and more while you sleep. Its AI algorithms enable early detection of any health deterioration, proving life-saving in 50+ cases already.
The Healthtech startup claims to have over 250 hospitals using its solutions and has monitored more than 45,000 patients since its inception.
In July 2021, Dozee raised $6 million as part of its Series A funding round led by existing investor Prime Venture Partners. During that funding round, Dozee stated that it had a plan to help 1,000 hospitals across India to upgrade critical care infrastructure through remote patient monitoring.
Remote Patient Monitoring has gained huge popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic led restrictions and is slowly becoming the future of delivering healthcare services to patients. As per a report, the global demand for the Remote Patient Monitoring Market is expected to reach USD 2936.38 Million in 2025, growing at a CAGR of 12.22% from 2019 to 2025.
