Entri.app Raises $7 Million In Series A Funding Round
Kochi-based online learning app Entri.app has raised $7 million in a Series A round of funding led by Omidyar Network India.
The funding round also saw participation from Boston-based Innospark Ventures and Integrated Capital, a Hong Kong-based private equity. Angel investors Gokul Rajaram (a board member of Pinterest and Coinbase) and Sriram Krishnan, a partner at Andreessen Horowitz (A16Z), a venture capital firm in Silicon Valley, also participated in the round, among others.
As per the startup, the freshly raised funds raised will be utilised for content development across existing and new languages, senior-level hirings, and strategic acquisitions that will accelerate Entri’s growth.

Launched by Mohammed Hisamuddin and Rahul Ramesh in 2017, Entri.app is a vernacular language learning platform for India that is focused on helping people acquire relevant job skills.
Entri.app offers 500+ courses in eight languages – Hindi, Marathi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, and Odiya – to help aspirants prepare for different government job exams as well as improve their private job prospects.
Speaking about the development, Mohammed Hisamuddin, Founder and CEO of Entri.app, said,

Empowering aspirants through its local language courses, Entri is part of LearnLaunch, a leading EdTech accelerator based out of Boston, Massachusetts. Some of its most popular course categories are Coding, Personal Finance, State PSC Exams, Spoken English, Teacher Exams, Nursing Certifications, and Engineering Technical Exams, among others.
The edtech platform claims to have over eight million registered users with more than 250,000 paid subscribers.
