DotPe Acquires Bangalore-based PoS Startup Rista
DotPe, a Gurugram-based online-to-offline commerce platform, has acquired Bangalore-based point-of-sale (PoS) startup Rista in an all-cash deal.
With this acquisition, DotPe has entered into the PoS segment and strengthens its bouquet of offerings to offline merchants. As part of the deal, Rista will continue to work as a standalone business and will be headed by Srini Vasan.
Speaking on the development, Shailaz Nag, Co-Founder & CEO at DotPe, said,
“We have partnered with Rista to offer an all in one solution. The coming together of DotPe and Rista further strengthens our business offerings.”
Founded by Srini Vasan in 2015, Rista offers an end-to-end Cloud kitchen management solution on one single platform and has around 1,500 merchants. It enables cloud kitchen operators to manage multiple brands from the same kitchen via its centralized dashboard. Additionally, they can reduce costs and have seamless data flow across all modules. Nirulas and PVR Cinemas are the top merchants of Rista.
Founded in 2020 by Shailaz Nag, Gyanesh Sharma and Anurag Gupta, DotPe is a Gurugram-based commerce and payments platform for offline enterprise businesses that digitally powers the entire customer journey – ordering, payments, and delivery solutions for 30,000+ restaurants and food courts.
In March 2021, the Gurugram-based online-to-offline commerce platform raised $27.5 Mn in funding led by its early investor PayU, with participation from Google and Info Edge Ventures.
Within one year, DotPe has empowered 5 Mn+ merchants across various categories to go online with their businesses, with a presence in McDonald’s, Haldiram’s, Impresario restaurants, Starbucks, cafe chains such as Big Chill, among other outlets.
In the last funding round, DotPe stated that the raised funds would be utilised towards accelerating product development, market expansion and scaling technology to meet the fast-growing market demand.
