Car Servicing Startup Fixcraft Raises $1M In Pre-Series A Funding
Fixcraft, a chain of multi-brand car bodyshops, has raised $1 million in a pre-Series A round in equity led by a marquee angel investor and debt led by Ubiquity Capital.
Amit Lakhotia (CEO at Park Plus), Manu Jain (Founder at Carbun8), Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl (COO at BharatPe), Shashvat Nakrani (Co-founder at BharatPe), Rohit Kapoor (CEO at Oyo India and SEA), Maninder Gulati (Global CSO at Oyo), Akshay Saxena (Co-founder at Avanti Fellows), Deepak Jain (Partner at Bain & Co), Ashish Goel (Founder CEO at UrbanLadder), Anshoo Sharma (Co-founder at MagicPin), Sumit Jain (Unacademy) and other prominent startup founders participated in the funding round.
As per the car servicing startup, it will use the funds to widen its presence in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, the startup will use the funds in strengthening the operations and technology teams.
Started by Vivek Sharma (CEO), Inderjeet Rao (CTO) and Abhishek Goyal (COO) in October 2018, Fixcraft is a chain of multi-brand car bodyshops established to redefine the quality of denting, painting and repair services in India. Leveraging technology, Fixcraft has standard systems and processes with best-in-class tools and equipment to ensure the highest quality of car denting and painting work.
Speaking on the development, Vivek Sharma said,
“The auto repair industry has been in dire need of a tech-enabled player to handle the lack of trust and high cost of repair and service. Fixcraft’s cloud garage AI-driven, full-stack model has seen very high degree of acceptance in end customers and ecosystem players like motor Insurance companies and aggregators alike.
Vivek added that the startup witnessed a 400% year-on-year growth and targets to maintain the momentum across our B2C and B2B channels equally. Additionally, the startup plans to invest heavily in technology to continue its mission to be the most trusted brand in the automotive sector.
To date, the automotive repair brand has already provided services to 3,500 customers and plans to double the number by the end of FY22.
