Bengaluru-Based ‘Bellatrix Aerospace’ Partners With ‘Skyroot Aerospace’ To Further India’s Spacetech Efforts
To boost the Indian spacetech ecosystem, spacetech organisations are joining hands.
Spacetech startups, Bellatrix Aerospace and Skyroot Aerospace, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further India’s spacetech efforts.
As a part of the deal, the Orbital Transfer Vehicle (OTV), being developed by Bellatrix, will be used in the upper stage of Vikram launch vehicles built by Skyroot.
Founded in 2015, Bengaluru-based Bellatrix Aerospace is an Indian New Space company specialising in In-space propulsion systems & orbital launch vehicles.
Based out of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, the company is constantly evolving to facilitate the development of key technologies in electric propulsion, new generation propellants and launch vehicle.
Both startups bagged the National Startup Award under launch vehicles and satellite categories this year.
Earlier this month, spacetech startup Skyroot Aerospace, entered into a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with the Department of Space (DoS).
And as part of the deal, Skyroot Aerospace will get access to technical expertise and facilities available in ISRO centres for its launch vehicle development programme.
