Commenting on the development, Nandini Mansinghka, Chief Executive Officer at Mumbai Angels, said,

“A Toddler Thing focuses on creating a range of sustainable and safe baby products for babies. The brand is leading the way in sustainable baby products in India and has been incredibly capital efficient.”

For the past few years, the baby-care and personal hygiene product segments have been attracting the attention of several investors. The Indian baby care products market is expected to touch $26.35 billion by 2025, growing at an 11% CAGR. This growth is backed by increasing internet penetration, a growing number of nuclear and single-parent families and the online availability of baby care products.

Last year, in January, baby-care startup Baby Amore raised undisclosed capital from GetVantage, a revenue-based financing platform. In October 2022, ITC Ltd agreed to invest Rs 13.50 crore in D2C baby-care startup Mother Sparsh as part of its ongoing Series B round.

A month before that, Nobel Hygiene, a hygiene products manufacturer, raised Rs 132 crore in its Series C funding round from existing investor Sixth Sense Ventures, a domestic consumer-centric venture fund.
