Skills Caravan, a New Delhi-based Business-to-business (B2B) SaaS startup, has raised an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round from a host of angel investors, including Paras Berwala (Investec India), Abhishek Poddar (Macquarie Group), and Deep Bajaj (Sirona).

As per the startup, the freshly raised funds will be used to expand its operations in the US.

Revolutionizing workplace education in businesses, Skills Caravan automates and integrates the learning and development process with its multi-product Learning Experience Platform, Content Library, Engagement platform, Credentialing, and Impact reporting.

Operating on a subscription-based business model, the startup focuses on byte-size learning. In April 2023, Skills Caravan announced its exclusive partnership with Shoppers Stop to provide an easy and one-stop solution for learning for its employees. 

It currently serves the financial services sector but aims to expand to other domains as well.

Before founding Skills Caravan, Sarita had also co-founded Edupristine, a venture aimed at bridging the skills gap among professionals, that subsequently secured Series A and B funding from Accel Partners and Kaizen Private Equity. Eventually, EduPristine got acquired by Adtalem Global Education, a Fortune 1000-listed US-based company. 

Last week, B2B SaaS startup Togai raised $3.1 million (Rs 25.6 crore) in a seed funding round for product development and expanding into new geographies. The funding round was led by Together Fund, with participation from VC firm BoldCap, Core91, and angel investor Prasanna Shankar (Rippling).

In May 2023, Soptle, a SaaS-led B2B marketplace for FMCG manufacturers and retailers, raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round for the expansion of the retailer network reach and manufacturing partner footprint across India, with new product offerings and technology enhancement.
