AI-Based Edtech Platform ConveGenius Secures $7 Million Funding, Aims to Boost Its Conversational AI Bot Store Capabilities

ConveGenius, a Noida-based AI-powered edtech startup, has secured $7 million (Rs 58 crore) in a funding round from a host of investors, including UBS Optimus Foundation and Mount Judi Ventures. 

The funding round also saw participation from existing investors Michael & Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF), Heritas Capital, Bace Capital, and Gray Matters Capital.

As per the startup, the freshly raised funds will be used for advancing generative AI capabilities of its conversational AI platform, SwiftChat, built on AWS (Amazon Web Services). Further, the funding will enable the startup to expand its presence across global markets.

Founded by Jairaj Bhattacharya and Shashank Pandey in 2013, ConveGenius is a Noida-based AI-first edtech firm dedicated to transforming learning experiences for users worldwide. The edtech startup offers services through three business verticals:

  1. SwiftChat – a conversational AI bot store
  2. Swift School – personalized adaptive learning platform for schools
  3. Swift Insights – a data intelligence and large-scale assessment platform. 

Speaking on the development, Jairaj Bhattacharya, founder and managing director of ConveGenius, highlighted that the funding round marks a crucial step in its journey. It will empower the startup to export another Indian technology to global markets, added Bhattacharya.

As per the startup, its conversational AI bot store, SwiftChat, has a reach of 143 million registered user profiles, with widespread adoption in over 577,000 schools in India. It claims that Swift School’s personalized adaptive learning platform has been implemented in more than 25,000 schools across 16 states in India. 

These efforts from the startup have benefitted over 4 million students, while Swift Insights’ assessments and data intelligence platform have been used for measuring learning outcomes for 7 Mn students learning from 20 states in India and four other countries.

Davar added that their SwiftChat generative AI platform provides the personalized learning content and teacher training support needed in schools.
