Indian Funding News

Ishitva, an Ahmedabad-based robotics startup, has raised over $1 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures, an angel investment platform.

The funding round also saw participation from many waste management and plastic value chain players and veterans, including Kamaljyot Investments Ltd (a subsidiary of Excel Industries Ltd), Gandhi Family from GRP Ltd, AVI Global Plast Private Limited, and Anup Gulati (COO at Quality Maritime Provider LDA).

The Ahmedabad-based robotic startup will utilise the raised funds in growing sales and expanding the R&D team.

Ishitva Robotics Systems

Founded by Jitesh Dadlani, Ishitva designs and builds waste sorting plants and solutions using AI, ML, and IoT Industry 4.0. Some of its solutions include YUTA (AI-powered robotic sorting), SUKA (AI-powered air sorting), and Netra AI Vision system that helps in identifying waste and smart bins.

Jitesh Dadlani: Founder of Ishitva Robotics Systems

Speaking on the development, Jitesh Dadlani, Founder of Ishitva, said,

“Indian waste management industry is a riddle, and our unlimited dream is to eliminate the manual sorting of waste which often involves humans to work unhygienic conditions. Our vision is to install industry 4.0 solutions in 4,000+ towns of the country picked up by the Swachh Bharat mission, and we are thrilled to have IPV as a part of this journey.”

Ishitva Robotics Systems uses AI, Robotics and Air Sorter to sort dry waste and create value for recyclables which helps to achieve circular economy with environmental benefits.

As per the Ahmedabad-based robotic startup, effective sorting of waste is currently the weakest link in creating a circular value chain. Therefore, to avoid dumping and burning of dry waste, which leads to serious environmental hazards, the robotic startup focuses on leveraging industry 4.0 tools to systematically sort out waste and assess the quality of recyclable waste.
